WOODY

Saturday mornings are for waking up late and breakfast in bed. How about a Woody Allen movie too? No? Well, Radio Days, a 1987 comedy/drama that he wrote and directed might be the perfect movie to accidentally wake up to.

It takes place in the late 1930's and early 1940's and is about the golden age of radio. Ahh, the music, the dialogue, the nostalgic scenery. I've always been a Woody Allen fan (Vicky Cristina Barcelona is one of my favorite movies of all time!), but Radio Days blew me away.

So much so that I wanted to see something new by him. And voila! Amazon prime delivered. He wrote and directed a television series called Crisis in Six Scenes. Yes, I know, I'm late. It premiered in September and the reviews weren't so good. But who cares? I watched the entire thing and loved it! It's classic Woody Allen, though, a bit watered down.

I watched all 6 episodes, got fired up about the government, and thought about Cuba and Che Guevara. Then, it was time to begin my Saturday adventures with Guru. I couldn't pull myself away from the TV!

Who else is a Woody Allen fan?
